Mazda3 TCR First Look and Photo Gallery
Mazda has announced the latest addition to its motorsports segment – the Mazda3 TCR. This supercharged race car is a part of the 2020 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge taking place in January 2020. This challenge starts off with a four-hour Endurance Challenge, a part of the Rolex 24 at Daytona. So, what does the Mazda3 TCR look like? Mazda3 TCR Design and Specs
The Mazda3 TCR shares the design of the 2019 Mazda3 Hatchback and focuses in on the Mazda brand’s Kodo – Soul of Motion design. Masahiro Moro, Chairman and CEO of Mazda North American Operations, described TCR as a “great opportunity for [Mazda] to showcase the new Mazda3 and provide [their] customers another avenue to race Mazda vehicles” according to a Mazda brand press release. The Mazda3 Hatchback features an incredible design and performance, making it an ideal base for the Mazda3 TCR.
Beneath the hood of the Mazda3 TCR is a turbocharged, 4-cylinder engine paired to a paddle-shifted six-speed transmission with 350 horsepower on tap.
